The kindest gift you could give Hui o Laka – or any non profit organization – what is it?

An unrestricted cash donation, that’s what! You probably know that every day operations of Koke’e Natural History Museum receive no financial support from the State of Hawaii and never have. We’re an entreprenurial outfit that’s proud to make it on shop sales, memberships from new and loyal friends, with a few grants.

Museum shop sales, which usually account for over 50% of Hui o Laka’s operating income, are vulnerable to economic tides. Shop sales have dipped (compared to last year) each month since June 2008 (10/08).

You’ll be pleased to know we have a cohesive set of strategies to make sure Hui o Laka continues to survive and thrive no matter what the economic times. This web-site, which we hope you enjoy using, is one of them.
